Based in São Paulo and formed in 2017, Tagua Tagua is led by songwriter and producer Felipe Puperi. After years of praise at home, he’s begun to garner attention overseas with features on NPR, Remezcla, spins on KCRW and KEXP, a sync on the FIFA 20 soundtrack and a couple of tours in the United States and Europe. Recently, Tagua Tagua has joined the Wonderwheel Recordings family with a tender selection of cuts for his latest album ‘Tanto’ (2023). Recorded in the rural outskirts of Sao Paulo there is a sense of yearning that permeates throughout the set list of ten unapologetic love songs that fly between lush psychedelic pop to warm, beat-laden neo-soul with Brazilian flavor. Since releasing “Tanto” (2023), Tagua Tagua has been touring all over the country, where he headlined a 12 dates tour.
