Ancient Face Presents: Debit + P1nkstar [Live] + Maria Chávez

Ancient Face is a new curatorial platform by Maria Chávez, introducing artists from around the world that Maria has met through her 20+-year career. Each artist is multifaceted in their practices, sharing Chávez's ethos of straddling many areas of artistic expression through DJing, sound art, electronic music, live performance, and visual art. For the inaugural Ancient Face presentation at Public Records, Chávez is sharing the work of two artists and good friends, Debit and p1nkstar, whose works she has been following since their beginnings. Each artist will create a hybrid performance/ DJ set to share their works in an expanded way than is normally shown. Chávez will close the evening with a DJ set to celebrate the event. This new curatorial platform brings Chávez back to what she loves to do most, create spaces for inquiry, creativity, and especially dancing. - Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
