This Friday, December 13th, join us at Apollo Studio for a night of sound exploration featuring Awazaki, Corrina, Matas, PFDA, and Untzasy (Live). Starting at 10 PM, the night will flow with carefully crafted sets that keep the energy alive. See you at 72 Apollo Street.
Sandro (Awazaki):
Awazaki, born and raised in Tbilisi, Georgia, found his love for music through dancing and singing with the Erisioni National Ballet Ensemble. Drawing on his Georgian roots, he channels these influences into his sets, blending everything between house and raw hypnotic techno, with a recent focus on breaks and electro, while experimenting with different genres. Now living in NYC, he continues to refine his unique sound.
Corrina:
With an impressive slate of parties under her belt and playing some of NYC’s most prominent venues - Public Records, Good Room, H0l0, Mansions and Apollo Studio to name a few, Corrina is one of New York’s most notable rising talents. Corrina has a burning love for playing vinyl and digging for that next special record. Her selections reflect her versatility, musical evolution, and exploration of genres... basically anything with a nice groove and an even nicer snare.
Matas:
Matas is a New York City-based DJ who has spent years refining his craft in the city's club scene. As a sound technician at Nowadays, and a regular behind the decks at both Nowadays and Basement, Matas bridges the technical and creative sides of his art. His sets explore the hypnotic depths of dub-infused techno, occasionally veering into more playful, bouncy territory. Refusing to align himself with a singular sound, Matas curates a fluid and immersive experience, connecting with dancers through his thoughtful selections and finely tuned approach to sound.
Gio (PFDA):
With over a decade of experience, PFDA has built an extensive library of techno, jungle, and hard breaks, creating a raw sound that has landed him gigs at NYC clubs like Good Room, TBA Brooklyn, and numerous underground parties. Recently, he has deepened his craft by incorporating modular synthesizers and sound synthesis techniques into his performances. PFDA is also the co-creator and booker for @sonic_junkie_records.
Misha (Untzasy):
Mikhail was immersed in music from a young age both in Georgia and New York, starting formal piano and singing lessons at age 6 and performing in church choirs in NYC until age 19. He first heard underground house music through a vinyl reunion with Danny Tenaglia at age 16, which instantly cemented and paved the future path for his career. Pruidze established himself in New York City's underground scene through a decade of playing across Brooklyn and Manhattan. Now back in his hometown of Tbilisi, Georgia, Pruidze is developing his signature sound further and orchestrating the next stage of his career with international shows, forthcoming releases on influential labels, and the launch of his own vinyl imprint, Décrite.
