Dauwd Al Hilali has a knack for streamlining all kinds of ideas and influences into effortlessly smooth and airy house music. Dauwd, the US-born, Wales-raised artist who’s been releasing music for nearly 6 years on such noted labels as Ghostly International and Kompakt, and whose debut album Theory of Colours is released via Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour Records. Dauwd’s style of dance music underlines the power of restraint. Invoking analogue textures and ultra-precise arrangements. He will weave diverse music together, spanning from acid house, techno, multi-regional African dance music and lots of things in between.
Jay Berd - has an infinitely deep and diverse record bag that crosses all boundaries from techno, electro minimal, house, breaks, and everything in between. Jay Berd’s style is beautifully elusive - intentionally not bound to any singular genre. Always reading the crowd, Jay is an expert selector carefully curating a story through the records he chooses. Surrounded by music from a young age starting with the Grateful Dead and Jimi Hendrix in car rides with his father. This set the stage for an extremely diverse pool of inspiration. From there, his style evolved through jazz, rock, bluegrass, electronica and more. It’s clear his passion is bringing the humans on the dance floor together for a thought provoking musical journey. Jay started Lemak Records in 2018 and has been unearthing and exposing underrepresented artists ever since.
Chuwee, a native Californian, loved music from an early age. He began to grow his US audience as a teenager discovering the underground scene as he raved his way from coast to coast. He became known in clubs across America. Now based in Brooklyn, DJ-producer Chuwee made a name for himself as a resident of BiTRaTE, regularly playing for the newly minted afterhours series at Apollo Studio. Spinning anything from downtempo, rare grooves to 90s house, Chuwee can command the dance floor.
David Berrie showcases broken beat funk and soul to alternative new wave. This wide spectrum of frequencies all contribute to David's grounded yet obscure vision of house and techno today. Raised in the cultural mecca of NYC, David Berrie has been involved in the music scene since his earliest days of plotting his way into clubs and events underage. Now he is making a name for himself with his signature house and techno sound in iconic rooms from Space Miami to DC10 Ibiza. Drawing from different genres to create his unique sound, David has released music on various labels such as Hot Creations, Cuttin’ Headz and Play It Say It.
