Postponed: Berlin Science Week Closing Party

WE ARE THE FUTURE! presents an all-FLINTA lineup of interdisciplinary DJs and live acts to celebrate the closing of Berlin Science Week, an annual city-wide festival of science and cultural programming. The night opens with an experimental hardware set from Jena Jang (CZ/KR). Their practice combines noise, improvised vocals, and self-built electronics into body-driven performances exploring emotional release, transformation, and the connection between human and non-human worlds. Zap Bain, a Berlin-based multi-instrumental solo musician and sound artist, engineer and researcher, will present their EEG live music project which bridges the gap between pop music and the scientific/experimental. Her genre-bending ghetto-tech-pop music gains dynamism and life from live hardware improvisations and brainwave MIDI modulations. Queen Yasmeen (ES) is a DJ and producer originally from Austin, Texas. Known for seamlessly blending genres, she crafts sets that fuse deep house, acid, trance, and techno with a distinct, groovy pulse. She has performed at clubs and festivals around the globe—from Barcelona to Brasil, the USA to Berlin and beyond—captivating audiences with her vibrant energy and signature sound. At the core of every set lies one unifying element: Acid. SENAIDA is a Berlin-based, Hakka Chinese-Canadian transdisciplinary artist, international DJ, sound healer, curator, and founder of WE ARE THE FUTURE! Their work explores the intersections of shamanism, posthumanism, generative art and sustainability to create collective experiences through sound. Their eclectic techno-infused, spellbinding mixes can be heard on community radio stations across the globe including Refuge Worldwide, FrittoFM, No Signal, Reform Radio, Noh Radio, and HKCR. Throughout the night, Miraal Habib will be curating live visuals exploring the intersection of nature, technology, and human perception. Miraal, a new media artist and designer based in Berlin, identifies as a “bio-mimicker,” drawing inspiration from the patterns, processes, and systems found in nature to create immersive installations and generative artworks.
