Systems Overload presents Blood & Sun(live) www.bloodandsun.bandcamp.com Society Of The Silver Cross (live) www.societyofthesilvercross.bandcamp.com Linnea Hjertén (live) www.linneahjerten.bandcamp.com/ Blood and Sun is dark folk written by Luke Tromiczak and performed by a rotating group of musicians from across the United States. Ritualistic, powerful, and profound—Blood and Sun weaves traditional folk sorrow with North American vastness, spiritual intensity, and a love of mytho-poetic realms. They channel a form of dark-folk that requires no façade, only voice, strings, the percussive heart, and the gravity of existence. Every song is a spell carried by a deep voice and raw presence. Their performances are like a bonfire: Warming, challenging, clarifying. For this 2026 European tour Luke Tromiczak is joined by long friends Erik Wivinus, Liliian Liu, and Sawyer Gebauer. Society of the Silver Cross are from Seattle, Washington. Their music is dark, slow, and cinematic, gothic and bombastic in equal measure. Rooted equally in the traditions of India and the darker edges of American folk. Their chant-like vocals move between melody and ritual, alongside 12-string acoustic guitar, harmonium, B3 organ, Shahi Baaja, rare synthesizers, and tom-centric drum patterns that anchor the whole thing in something primal. Rolling Stone, SPIN, UNCUT, Metal Injection, and Brooklyn Vegan have all written about them. Bizarro.fm called them "one of the most exceptional bands in the Gothic movement worldwide." The 405 called their debut "one of the year's most unique and compelling debuts." Their 2024 album Festival of Invocations explores life, death, and beauty. Their melodies, as one critic put it, are an ode to hypnosis. Linnea Hjertén is a Swedish artist and trained music producer celebrated for her deeply evocative blend of Nordic Folk and Ritual ambient music. Her unique sound, sometimes described as a "psychoacoustic gateway to altered states of consciousness," weaves together traditional Swedish folk melodies, wordless chants, and minimalist soundscapes to create a spiritual and haunting sonic experience. Linnea records and mixes all her material, and the music channels the ethereal beauty of artists like Dead Can Dance and Forndom, earning recognition for a profound musical maturity and intimate approach. Her music is rooted in her own spiritual practices, using sound as a grounding force and a manifestation of intent.
