Clever Gurl is inspired by the incredible Denver queer underground parties I've attended and been a part of the last 10 years. She's serving dance floor, lewks, variety, changing locations, and a QUEER AF attitude. We seek to be inclusive, accessible, and won't tolerate misogyny, transphobia, body shaming, or harassment of any form. We love our LGBTQ+ community and strive for a safe place to express yourself, dance your ass off, and meet new, like minded community along the way! We're coming in hot with our first party bringing you some of the best sounds out of DC!

Baronhawk Poitier making his DENVER debut!
Growing up in PG County, Maryland nestled between Baltimore and Washington, DC shaped life for artist Baronhawk Poitier. Listening to local radio stations breakdancing with local friends and sorting through records while working at The Record Exchange heavily influenced his pursuit of a career as a producer and DJ. He was recognized alongside mentor Kris Klayton aka Karizma/ Kaytronik with a grant from the National Endowment of Arts for electronic music production. Baronhawk expresses his passion for cultural preservation and education working with dance legends at the nonprofit culture and education project Urban Artistry, Inc. Poitier has also earned a name for himself within the LGBTQIA+ dance music community as a member of the unique queer artist collective The NeedlExchange “TNX,” who were known for their independent events and raves. He continues to tour as a solo artist while hosting events in DC as a co-creator and resident of the DJ collective “DanceClub”.
Paired with the local stylings of Pips, a Denver-based DJ, whose sound is shaped by years spent on dancefloors across the U.S. in the underground queer house and techno scene. Drawing from the past while pushing forward, he crafts hypnotic, high-energy sets that captivate and move the crowd. Rooted in rhythm, his style seamlessly blends genres, creating a dynamic and immersive dancefloor experience.
This party is brought to you by Denver resident Andrew Dimpfl, a Denver-based graphic designer and installation artist, and the creator of Squirt!, and Market Crash (DC). His work typically consists of large format mixed media installations for nightlife events featuring illustration, sculpture, light play, and abstract form.
