Clever Gurl #4 is bringing Denver a 9 hour party with 2 dance floors, 7 djs, hotdogs, and squirt guns. Kicking off the afternoon with the annual summer “Squirt!” party (IYKYK) where water pistols will be provided to flirt and squirt while dancing to sweet beats till the sun goes down. (Wear something you don’t mind getting a little wet! – lockers available first come first serve and wrist bands will be provided for ins and out… we know it’s a long party). Join us from 5-9 for Squirt! x Clever Gurl day party vibes with drink specials and $5 hot dogs, and from 9-2 for our classic clever gurl, queer AF, evening debauchery dancing till bar close with two stages of epic music to keep those mile high feet moving! You are in for a treat as we meld the sweet and funky sounds of Pittsburgh’s Jellyfish headlining with a b2b set, The DC dance beats of Diyanna Monet, SF’s Stefan Ways bringing his classic energetic vibes, and rounding out the lineup with Denver staples, Wngdu, Pips, and Dugan! Come early, grab a hot dog and drink specials, stay late for dancing your face off! Clever gurl is a Denver based, queer-centric dance music event with curated vibes focused on getting those feet moving. We welcome all who are down to be part of a community of like minded folks who leave ego and bias at the door. This party is house music, its camp, its lewks, its being silly AF and uninhibited, its sweating on the dance floor, making new friends, and maybe even making out with that hottie across the room! ABOUT THE DJS JELLYFISH is based in Pittsburgh [USA] with passion & obsession for all things italo, house, techno, and more. At their parties and during their sets, DJs Formosa and Ricky Mawzlin welcome dancers to embrace the chaos of a dance floor blanketed in neon + sweat. Inspired by past + present DIY underground queer scenes from around the world, they’ve brought Jellyfish-energy to places like Mexico City, London, New York, Taipei, Chicago, San Francisco, the beaches of Mexico, the woods of Honcho Campout, and more since 2017 Diyanna Monet is a performance artist hailing from Washington, DC. From igniting dance floors, in front of and behind the decks, she has proven to energize and captivate the attention of crowds ranging from private events to massive festivals with her nostalgic music selection. Leading with the inspiration of preserving Black culture and timeless music, Diyanna is sure to deliver energizing sets and memorable dance floor moments as a means to solidify herself as a champion of excellence, innovation, and unity through music. Stefan Ways is a multidisciplinary artist who enjoys creating genre-fluid and dynamic sets by blending energetic percussive elements, synthy sounds, chugging bass lines, psychedelic melodies, and tasteful vocals that create narrative and compliment the energy of the space. Before his recent relocation to the San Francisco area, Stefan helped push the sound and shape the post-2020 underground queer scene and nightlife in Denver. Padideh aka wngdu is an Iranian-American DJ, journalist and visual artist born and raised in Denver, CO. Outside of their own DJing, wngdu runs an event series called Human Cluster Project (HCP) and is the resident DJ for Denver-based queer party Junk Drawer. They are ½ of the Loudmen, a project in collaboration with their talented friend Mitch Smith. Pips, a Denver-based DJ, whose sound is shaped by years spent on dancefloors across the U.S. in the underground queer house and techno scene. Drawing from the past while pushing forward, he crafts hypnotic, high-energy sets that captivate and move the crowd. Rooted in rhythm, his style seamlessly blends genres, creating a dynamic and immersive dancefloor experience. DUGAN is a Denver-based DJ with an eclectic background mixing everything from groovy House and NuDisco to moody Techno and upbeat Electro. A regular feature at clubs throughout Denver including Temple, Club Vinyl, Bar Standard, Tracks Denver, X Bar, and The Triangle and is a proud member and contributing DJ of TheHundred, 128 Productions, and the Bad Asstronauts and has performed at Burning Man, Decadence Colorado, Global Dance Festival, Apogaea, and Denver Pridefest to name a few.
