Saturday, October 26, 2024 Doors 10PM Advance Tickets on sale now. Already a legendary figure in electronic music, Chez Damier has played close witness to many of the pivotal moments in the history of house and techno. Jointly responsible with studio partner Ron Trent for both Prescription Records - widely recognised as one of the greatest house labels of all time - and ‘The Morning Factory’ - one of the most ethereal jams ever to rock a room - Chez Damier is a true deep house pioneer. More than that, the Chicago DJ has played pivotal roles in the development of KMS, The Music Institute and The Bellville Three, hallowed pieces of musical history that prove his contribution to dance music over the years. As an artist Chez Damier represents a unique blend; he is as impetuous and daring as now as in 1989 and being able to qualify this with his own unique heritage makes his releases and DJ performances doubly formidable. Today his sets are entirely unique, not just because of the experience and knowledge he can call upon. After something of a hiatus, a series of releases for the German label Mojuba signalled that he was on his way back to show the young pretenders the way and nowadays he has taken the torch of Prescription by launching Balance Alliance as a home for some of the most forward thinking and talented producers he deems fit to join him on the imprint. Studio partnerships with Parisian Ben Vedren has reignited the production flame under several aliases, and so now he is back making his best work once more. A regular around the world from DC10 in Ibiza to Smart Bar Chicago and many more, Chez Damier is a modern house hero. Ash Lauryn balances between two worlds, with an old-school foundation and a digital age suaveness, blending her skills as a deejay, writer, curator, and radio host to champion black dance music. Discovering her passion for music in her native Detroit, she was inspired to start deejaying in her current residence in Atlanta, taking inspiration from her years on the dance floor as a self-proclaimed house head. After noticing a lack of representation for Black millennials in electronic music, Ash started her blog Underground and Black, which has since grown into a wide-ranging platform covering her annual Movement Festival party in Detroit, and monthly NTS Radio show. Her passion for music has led her across the globe, playing headline gigs in Tokyo, Paris, Ibiza, and beyond. She has also played at notable dance music institutions like Nowadays New York, Panorama Bar Berlin, and Printworks London. Ash has shared bills with esteemed artists like Joe Claussell and Moodymann and graced the decks at world-renowned festivals like Movement Detroit, Southport Weekender, and Montreux Jazz Festival. Her writing has appeared in The Face Magazine, Mixmag, and Resident Advisor, and in 2020 she served as a guest editor for Beatport’s online magazine Beatportal. She has interviewed everyone from Honey Dijon to the late Virgil Abloh and recently curated a line-up for Boiler Room Festival New York. Ash released her highly acclaimed debut EP Truth, co-produced with Stefan Ringer in September 2021 on FWM Entertainment, and has since released remixes on respected house music labels like Heist, Toy Tonics, and Defected. Quickly becoming a staple on the international tour circuit, Ash is actively touring the US, UK, and Europe. // Club Level // Chez Damier (Prescription, Balance | Chicago) soundcloud.com/chez-damier-official Ash Lauryn (Underground & Black | Atlanta) soundcloud.com/ashlauryn DVONNE soundcloud.com/dvonnedj // Green Room: Essential Bass & Illeven Eleven Reocrds // Keith MacKenzie (Chicago) soundcloud.com/keithmackenzie Proxxy & Lantern soundcloud.com/essentialbass soundcloud.com/djlantern Essential Freaks soundcloud.com/20kfreaks WETWET soundcloud.com/minuwetwet // Flash Bar: Deep Dive (All Vinyl) // Enzo soundcloud.com/soundslike_enzo Ramos soundcloud.com/ramos_dc Tobu soundcloud.com/7obu tobumusic.com/ _________________________________ ⠶⠶⠶⠶⠶ Flash Safe Space Policy ⠶⠶⠶⠶⠶ Flash stands firmly against non-consensual behavior, discrimination, harassment or harm of any kind.
