Formant X Ormside Presents: Vv Pete X Utility / Dj Plead / Nunguja / Formant Djs

For the first ORMSIDE presents of 2026, we team up with Formant Soundsystem, marking our first collaboration since Slikback’s album launch last summer. Integrating the Ormside and Formant systems for maximum immersion, we welcome Vv Pete + UTILITY, DJ Plead and nunguja – each bringing their distinct approach to contemporary club sound. Australian breakout rapper Vv Pete makes her UK debut, following the release of Varvie World – her Jersey-inspired 2025 album that moves fluidly through global dance music vernacular, with collaborations spanning DJ Plead, Brodinski and Kelman Duran. She is joined by UTILITY, executive producer of Varvie World and founder of Trackwork label, whose visionary approach bridges avant-garde experimentation and dancefloor physicality. Having recently headlined the Sydney Opera House, the pair now land at Ormside to take the Formant subs for a spin. Welcoming DJ Plead back to Ormside to deliver one of his percussive, shapeshifting sets. A collaborator on Vv Pete’s Varvie World and AUS countrymate, Plead draws on his Australian-Lebanese heritage to merge traditional Lebanese dance and pop with the harder edges of club music. Plead is a true master of his craft and we look forward to whatever he has in store. Berlin-based DJ and sound artist nunguja – a PAN label affiliate and fixture of the city’s club scene – twists and mutates club sonics like no other. Her sets hurtle through dance music history, collapsing genres into bass-forward, textured landscapes, always with a hint of the industrial sound her city is known for. Opening the night with Formant Soundsystem DJs. In 2025, the system shook rooms for the likes of Tommy Wright III, Evilgiane, Om Unit, Shannen SP, Klein – the list goes on. For their first outing since October, Formant open up 2026 with a b2b, navigating their shared archive of left-leaning electronic music.
