Funk Legends All Stars X Badassery

CANDY DULFER × NIGEL HALL × ERIC BENNY BLOOM × PIMENTA CASEIRA NOVEMBER 13 · BADASSERY · LISBON A unique night of funk, soul, jazz and improvisation comes to Badassery on November 13, bringing together three internationally renowned musicians with Lisbon collective *Pimenta Caseira, led by Fred aka B.E.R.A and Yanagui. At the heart of the night is world-renowned saxophonist Candy Dulfer, whose career crosses jazz, funk and soul and includes collaborations with artists such as Prince, Maceo Parker, Van Morrison and Dave Stewart. Joining her are Nigel Hall on vocals and keys and Eric Benny Bloom on trumpet — two key members of the powerhouse American funk band Lettuce. In Lisbon, the three join forces with Pimenta Caseira for a special collaboration created for Badassery. Rather than a conventional concert, the night is built around groove and musical interaction: funk, soul, improvisation and the unpredictability of a true jam session, bringing international and Portuguese musicians together on one intimate stage.
