Magda is a globally acclaimed artist known for her adventurous approach to DJing and music production, blending genres and ideas in unexpected and forward-thinking ways. Her creative scope extends far beyond the booth—she explores everything from music-tech collaborations and event concepts to producing premium tequila, shaping a multidisciplinary artistic identity that is entirely her own.
Born in Poland and raised in Detroit, Magda found inspiration in the city’s stark, vibrant landscape. She joined Richie Hawtin’s Minus label in 1998 and soon became a key touring DJ. Her international breakthrough in the early 2000s cemented her reputation for pushing boundaries, highlighted by releases such as “She’s a Dancing Machine” (2006), her debut album “From the Fallen Page” (2010), and remix work for artists like Plastikman and Depeche Mode. She also co-founded the Items & Things label and booking agency, further expanding her impact on the electronic music community.
Magda’s more recent endeavors reflect her constant evolution. In 2017, she launched the multimedia-driven Perm event series in Berlin, creating a space where art and club culture collide. She has also been active with Blotter Trax, her project with T.B. Arthur combines modular synthesis, improvisation, and rhythmic experimentation. Their performances—including collaborations with video artist Lillevan and a standout tour in Japan—showcase Magda’s continued commitment to innovation and immersive live experiences.
