No Sleep: Katya C and Wiersma

No Sleep is back with another late night rendezvous this Saturday. This one will be our first ever house event, featuring two local favorites. Our evening will begin in the deep end with Wiersma, who's musical intuition is evident not only from his mixes, but also his massive and continuously growing catalog of high quality productions, where house/deep house is heavily featured amongst a broad range of other electronic styles. Later we'll be taken into the wee hours of the night with Steep co-founder Katya C, who's sounds include various styles of house, acid, trance and more. Her sets are very exploratory, and feature tracks from the past and modern era, sequenced and blended in a virtually seamless manner. We're particularly excited to hear her progressive house selections as we feel this is a particularly magical and often emotionally moving subgenre that we hope to popularize in the local scene. Pea.cok will be back with us VJing. Expect to see some very neato psychedelic visuals.
