Orçun Atilla is a musician and multi-instrumentalist whose work is deeply rooted in the musical traditions of Anatolia. Performing on the divan sazı, bağlama, oud, and cümbüş, he explores the expressive depth, tonal richness, and evolving possibilities of these instruments. His musical journey began through self-directed study and later developed within master–apprentice traditions, where attentive listening, observation, and shared musical experience became the foundation of his artistic voice. Improvisation, makam, and rhythmic diversity are central to his practice, reflecting a living dialogue between heritage and contemporary expression. Throughout his career, Orçun Atilla has collaborated with musicians from a wide range of musical cultures and traditions, experiences that have enriched his perspective on music as a universal language. As both a solo performer and ensemble musician, he has appeared in concerts and artistic projects across diverse regions and settings. His ongoing artistic practice is dedicated to reinterpreting and carrying Anatolia’s rich musical heritage into the present through a distinctive and personal sound.
