Philipp Jung is a German electronic music producer, DJ, and label founder best known as the co-founder of Get Physical Music and one half of the acclaimed DJ duo M.A.N.D.Y. Since the early 1990s, Jung has played a major role in shaping the global house and techno scene through artist development, forward-thinking label work, and influential club productions. Before becoming an internationally recognized DJ and producer, he spent nearly a decade working in A&R roles at major record companies, where he focused on discovering and nurturing electronic music talent across a variety of genres.
In the early 2000s, Jung transitioned fully into DJing and music production alongside Patrick Bodmer, becoming a resident figure in Frankfurt’s thriving underground club culture as part of M.A.N.D.Y. The duo quickly gained worldwide recognition for their energetic, genre-blending sound and iconic releases, most notably the dancefloor anthem “Body Language,” which became one of the defining electronic tracks of its era. In 2002, Jung co-founded Get Physical Music together with Bodmer and Booka Shade, helping build the label into one of electronic music’s most respected imprints known for high-energy house and techno releases and a strong focus on club culture.
After stepping away from M.A.N.D.Y. in 2018 to focus on personal well-being following years of intensive touring, Jung shifted his attention toward label management and new creative ventures. In 2020, he launched the Get Physical sub-label METAPHYSICAL, a project centered around deeper artistic collaboration, album-oriented releases, and a more expansive musical vision that incorporated everything from melodic house and ambient music to electro-punk influences. Early releases included collaborations such as ARTBAT and Sailor & I’s “Best Of Me,” along with Sailor & I’s full-length album, highlighting Jung’s dedication to supporting artists through authentic and long-term creative development. Based between Berlin and Costa Rica, Philipp Jung continues to influence electronic music by championing undiscovered talent and timeless underground sounds.
Topper, originally from Turin, Italy, was raised in a hippie-influenced environment shaped by artists like Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, and Pink Floyd, largely due to his father’s deep impact on his musical and psychedelic upbringing. Drawn naturally to music, he relocated to Berlin in the early 2000s, where he immersed himself in the underground electronic scene, performing with crews like Klangsucht and becoming a resident DJ at Club der Visionäre alongside Daniele Papini for their Noisy Glance party. He later joined Sleep is Commercial as a core artist, contributing significantly to its sound. Following studies in sound engineering and years of studio work, he released his debut LP “Down by the River” in 2014, and after moving into the Pausenraum studio, transitioned into a hardware-based, jam-focused creative process that laid the groundwork for launching three labels in 2015, embodying his identity as a modern, psychedelic-influenced artist.
