About the artists:
BUNQ (Stéphane Bissières)
Stéphane Bissières (BUNQ) is a New Media artist and composer.
He learns piano at a very early age, then a degree in mathematics followed by a beginning of career in jazz. His search for new sound forms quickly led him to electroacoustic music and radiophonic creation, and finally to the creation of kinetic plastic works. The discovery of Steve Reich's music and the minimalist movement is a revelation, mathematical models and the observation of their expressions in nature are a source of inspiration. He transposes musical writing mechanisms to
his kinetic creations and considers this writing in the form of algorithms rather than scores. The generative approach allows him to explore the notion of artificial life by building dynamic systems capable of generating infinite variations with a recognizable common character, like a genetic code. His work has been exhibited at the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art, the Nuit Blanche in Paris and Brussels, the Nemo Biennial at 104 in Paris, etc.

Contrejours by BUNQ (Stéphane Bissières)
Contrejours is a singular performance created on modular synthesizer. The
minimal rhythmic micro structures unfold in the sound space and atonality, from
abstraction to trance. This live is a surprise, a contemporary experimental techno improvised in the
moment in direct relation to the gesture, reflecting our relationship to
technology and forms of hybridization with the machine. This minimalist project
explores the repetition of patterns to modify the perception of time, like a
backlight in front of a bright light where color tends to disappear in favor of
dynamics and contrast.
ZPKF
Radical rave pionner from the early 90’s, ZPKF is an old timer in the french electronic music nebula. After learning the fundamentals as a DJ, he developed through the years a strong knowledge as a machine builder, creating by himself his own modular setup. Those last years he was part of the duo TORB and played memorable live acts at reknowed festival such as Astropolis or Cabourg Mon Amour. As a solo project ZPKF develop a powerful and hypnotic techno wich reflects his perfect knowledge of the dancefloor. An absolute match if you want to bomb a warehouse, or push the crowd on a physical & mental trance.
