Sound Mind Live and Feelings Felt invite you to Sound Sessions – an otherworldly experience to ground us in our connection to Self and community. 99 Scott becomes a container for an immersive journey of sound, breath, and live music. Through breath and sound we will find grounding in the resonant vibrations within and between us. The potency of creativity in community lies in its ability to amplify and expand the individual's creative potential, nurturing a sense of unity and shared purpose. Through the practice of three-part breath, sound activations, and embracing spontaneity, individuals and groups can tap into a deeper level of awareness, unlocking profound states of love, energy, and abundance during meditations. These transformative experiences enhance connection, foster collective growth, and inspire the manifestation of creative endeavors that emanate from the heart. The breathwork will be led by Hannah Cohen. Sound and music by Simi Nasimiyu and Ran Livneh. If you are unable to afford a ticket, please reach out to us via email at info@soundmindlive.org. We believe in making our events as inclusive and accessible as possible. Her intention is to hold space for listeners to engage with the music in whatever way feels organic and authentic for them in each moment. Her sound offering will carry us through an arc that is part sound bath, part interactive concert, and part collective vocal activation. Israeli-born Ran Livneh is an acoustic and electric bassist, composer and producer based in Brooklyn, NY. In his music Ran explores the relationship of tone and atmosphere over traditional musical forms, nature and abstraction. Ran is active in various bands and projects, bringing together musical styles of Afrobeat, Ethiopian music, Gnawa, Mediterranean surf along with free improvised and soundscapes, with elements of acoustic and electronic, groove and improvisation. Alex Nero is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in New York City. Over the past 15 years, he has cultivated a deep relationship with teacher plants - weaving traditions, safe spaces, and integration. He's a multi-instrumentalist, using sound as a catalyst to inspire dialogue with the subconscious. His colorful visual experiments with paint and fluid dynamics explore subtle connections in presence, perception, and subjective reality and span a variety of forms, including photography, sculpture, new media, and installation art.
