BLANCHE BIAU first time in Lisbon at Lounge. Blanche Biau is flying in all the way from Switzerland for a series of 3 concerts in Portugal. In her debut album, Maraudé, she delves into an unattainable past. Influences from (Dark) Wave and Shoegaze reflect a surrender to the future, creating boundless, hazy dance floors steeped in melancholy. Her lyrics shift between English, German, and French, as not every emotion can be equally and honestly expressed in a single language. It feels natural for her to perform music in which one can get lost—alone on stage, enveloped by her own synthscapes and guitar melodies, lost in thoughts of better times.
