Taiwan Fest X Culture Lab Presents: Luis V, Jonte, Nathan

Luis V, Jonte, and Nathan are three AAPI DJs currently residing in New York. Jonte and Luis V, two Filipino DJs, have been releasing music under Warner Music Group since 2017, starting at the age of 16. They began spinning in Manila in 2019, focusing primarily on deep house music with funk and soul inflections, and also dabbling in UK garage and jungle. Nathan, while also deeply resonating with house music, finds inspiration in the quickly growing genres of afrobeats and amapiano. Together, this group represents three young members of the AAPI diaspora in NYC, pushing forward house music culture in their community and hoping to broaden the musical palettes of the Asian community with a greater spectrum of sonic influences.
