🎭 BRATL — Carnival Edition
An introduction to Brazilian Carnaval, Atlanta style
On Saturday, February 28, BRATL brings the essence of Brazilian Carnaval to Atlanta at Buteco (East Atlanta Village) — blending tradition, music, and community with the energy of Baile Funk and a mix of Brazilian sounds and global rhythms.
🇧🇷 What is Carnaval?
Carnaval is Brazil’s largest cultural celebration — a season of music, dance, and street parties known as blocos, where people gather to celebrate together through rhythm, movement, and self-expression. It’s vibrant, inclusive, and centered around community and sound.
This night is our interpretation of that tradition.
🎽 What is an abadá?
An abadá is the official shirt worn during Carnaval blocos in Brazil. It represents access, unity, and belonging — everyone in the same shirt, moving together as part of the same experience.
✨ Every ticket holder will receive a BRATL Carnival abadá
(Pickup location and details will be announced closer to the event.)
✂️ Customization is part of the tradition
In Brazil, it’s common — and encouraged — to customize your abadá: cut it, crop it, style it, add accessories, or make it your own. Your abadá is your canvas, and self-expression is part of the Carnaval experience.
