WELCOME TO CO-LAB - where productivity meets play -
An initiative designed to bring together the community in a productive and inspiring setting, seamlessly balancing movement, focus and play. Begin your day with a revitalising activity by the beach and a dip in the ocean followed by a session of collective focus. Lindsay Barret (a.k.a Oh Que Linda) will provide her delicious healthy snacks available for purchase on-site.
/ BODY FLOW WITH BECKY HICKS
A guided somatic journey and movement exploration touching different themes and focus: weight transfer, sensation, expansion/contraction, dynamics, sound, and texture. The session includes movement meditation, imagery and poetry, mindfulness of the physical body, movement as prayer and connecting to spirit, alongside elements inspired by cultural dances around the world, trauma release and movement therapy work.
We have developed a tendency to move in linear ways; gyms, running, fitness classes, even yoga and some types of dance like ballet is within a structure that limits the genius of the body to follow its intuitive rhythms and spaces where so much unlocking occurs. BodyFlow encourages you to go to these places, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, encouraging a release of anxiety, stress, blockages within the body that require a surrendering and acceptance into those spaces. Whilst hoping to inspire and ignite elements of joy within your being; expand and ground your outlook to be rooted into your feet and heart. The body knows!

/ ABOUT BECKY
Becky is passionate about the healing effects that dance has on the body, and the power it has to transform and alchemise stuck energy into creativity and flow. She has trained and worked in many different fields within the dance world; as a professional dancer trained in London and working for 11+ years in this around the world, dancing alongside artists such as Celine Dion, Kylie Minogue, Florence and the Machine, Nicole Scherzinger and Elton John to name a few; movement direction and choreography for Rita Ora and other artists.
She created a therapeutic movement class in 2016 (Sunflow/Bodyflow) and has been teaching this around the world since, completed different teacher trainings specifically for people with chronic Neurological illnesses (Switch2Move); also with a technique called Non-Linear Movement method a somatic practice to release trauma, process and identify emotions, and soothe the nervous system. She trained in Qoya, a movement structure specifically for women and is a qualified Yoga and Restorative Yoga instructor. Becky is continuously learning and growing with her dance, it is her medicine and inspiration and is grateful she gets to share this with different communities and in different expressions of art and healing.

Lindsay is a vegan chef whose passion is creating beautiful, healthy meals and treats that nourish your soul. Her specialty is crafting gluten free, vegan, and plant based desserts using only natural sweeteners. For her, offering food and nourishment is a way to express her creativity while taking care of others.
