Descrição
FLOW STATE touches down at Earthly, all the way from Chicago. -- Sister Zo (real name Zoey Shopmaker) has quickly emerged as an artist on the vanguard of the North American bass and techno scene. Her productions and mixes brings a fresh take to the continuum of UK bass and North American techno and house. The co-founder of UN/TUCK (a platform releasing music and organizing events curated specifically for trans and queer people in Kansas City) has played in legendary venues and events on both sides of the pond, including De School, Honcho Campout and Nowadays. Her EPs have featured on labels such as 3024, Scuffed Recordings and Pineapple Records, as well as recent contributions to Nervous Records and Obligated Records compilations. Productions that have earned her support from Ben UFO, Batu, Darwin, Surgeon, Eris Drew and many more. -- DJ DEADNAME is a Brooklyn-based DJ/artist interested in dance music as a community-building ritual practice. Understanding the essence of mixing as a form of dialectical synthesis, they are interested in the generative capabilities of the decks when used as a medium for sonic conflict resolution. They are attracted to percussive texture, rhythmic syncopation, and harmonic grandiosity. They are a founding member of TOWER, a bimonthly bass n' drum party at Bossa Nova Civic Club, as well as NC-born music collective PERMISSION. -- Hot Take and Jack Galactic are the co-founders of Flow State: a Chicago-based party that aims to highlight artists and sounds across the underground dance music spectrum. From breaks and bass to prog and leftfield house, the connecting thread is a celebration of artists with an innate ability to hypnotize dancefloors. The duo favor this varied genre approach in their sets and have recently performed alongside the likes of HAAi, Darwin, and Carl Craig.
