FLOWER FACTORY @ LOSO w/ Gail Force One, Joann Fabrixx, DJ KS, Pwrpuff Saturday, October 24 DJ Sets: 9pm - 2am 2727 W. Broad St 21+ Flower Factory is a DC-based queer DJ collective and production crew dedicated to cultivating community, encouraging self-expression, and showcasing high quality musical talent from around the U.S. and beyond. Their Sunday parties have been making waves in DC since 2021 and have won awards from the Washington Blade and City Cast DC. Flower Factory’s co-founders and resident DJs – Gail Force One, Joann Fabrixx, KS, Prince Rose, and Pwrpuff – have been invited to play at venues across DC and New York and have made guest appearances at queer parties and festivals in Provincetown, Mexico City, and Berlin. They’re thrilled to be making their Richmond debut at LOSO. Expect a wide range of musical styles, from techno to club to house to bass, always calibrated to keep hips moving and butts shaking. ___________ Gail Force One has been playing at venues across DC and NYC since 2017 and is one of the co-founders and resident DJs of Flower Factory. Originally from Ukraine and having lived in the American South, the UK, and NYC, Gail brings a keen musical taste spanning a broad range of styles and time periods. In live sets and DJ mixes, they weave together time-tested classics and hot-off-the-press selections to create moments of connection, delight, and release. Their signature sounds include progressive house, groovy techno, and emotional breaks. ___________ Joann Fabrixx is a Flower Factory co-founder and resident DJ. They have DJed at various spots around the East Coast since 2017, including Trade, 9:30 Club, and Flash in DC, and Animal, H0l0, and Bossa Nova Civic Club in NYC. They are excited to be making their Richmond debut at LOSO! ___________ DJ KS (aka YesKS) has been a fixture of the DC music scene since 2012. He co-founded and ran the Butch Queen party for five years and is a co-founder of Flower Factory, the DC-based collective behind its signature Sunday party, Pansy, and Full Bloom. His style blends house and ghetto tech, with a dash of Baltimore, Jersey, and vogue house. He’s played the queer party circuit at Get Wrecked and Carry, On Top at Le Bain, Glow, Town Dance Boutique, Echo Stage, Black Techno Matters, and Somos in Mexico City. He’s a regular DJ at Trade in Washington, DC. ___________ Pwrpuff has been djing in DC, along the East Coast, and internationally since 2018. Born and raised in the southwest and influenced by a lifetime surrounded by music, his sound pulls from an expanse of genres, always with the vision of helping dancers revel in community and feel comfortable in their own skin. Beyond co-founding DC’s Flower Factory collective, he has played queer party staples such as Get Wrecked and Carry (NYC), Horsemeat Disco (NYC), and Somos (CDMX). ——— LOSO Safe Space Policy ——— LOSO is a place for music lovers and dancers to come and express themselves freely.
