SLAM is a tour de force on the global Techno circuit. The duo’s unique, 6 deck, back-to-back DJ sets and explosive live gigs have seen them wreak havoc in clubs and festivals across the world for over 3 decades. Pioneers and innovators of the electronic music scene, Slam’s Orde Meikle and Stuart McMillan are renowned for their experience as well as for their powerful, contemporary sound.
Their iconic Soma Records label boasts more than a thousand releases in its 35-year history, including Daft Punk’s first singles and Slam’s own productions as well as many of today’s most cutting-edge artists. The pair host the legendary Pressure parties in Glasgow as well as their longstanding RTM residency at the city’s infamous Sub Club, dealing out a monthly supply raw, hypnotic and real Techno.
They also produce and curate the respected weekly podcast, Slam Radio, which is fast approaching episode 700, as it continues to demonstrate Slam’s conviction and commitment to supporting underground talent while providing an antidote to the mainstream.
As recording artists, Slam remain at the forefront of Techno with a prolific release schedule filled with underground bombs which leave scorch marks on dance floors far and wide.
