BASEMENT Resident Freddy K helps to close out an incredible year. Headlining the final Friday of our 2025 calendar, the KEY Vinyl honcho returns to the room to do what he does best: deep, rolling and hypnotic techno that still packs a punch. Freddy’s bonafides go all the way back to the ‘90s, when he helped to lay the foundation for the genre in his home country of Italy. But what’s most remarkable about his career is the way he’s remained so naturally, intuitively in stride with its ceaseless evolution. A consummate digger and an eager collaborator, Freddy K is living proof that techno is timeless. The Lady Machine makes her debut at the club. The German artist is a co-founder of Unterwegs Records, an emergent hub for twisting, pounding techno of the highest order. Her own tracks like “Collide” and “Resilience,” released on Mote Evolver and Token respectively, move with a nervy minimalism, holding the line while never quite boiling over. Last year’s “Kudos” EP on KEY Vinyl maintains the focus, with some of her best tracks to date. Holden Federico is perhaps the best artist to represent New York on this lineup. His decisive focus on tunneling, seething ‘90s-inspired techno has paradoxically inspired works of striking modernism. Federico’s entries into the SK_eleven discography show that every lesson from the past has been seamlessly integrated into a clear-eyed vision for the future. Mala Junta’s DJ TOOL brings a special house set to STUDIO. One of the key practitioners of spiraling, prog-tinged techno, DJ TOOL brings a freshness to the modern landscape that is sorely needed. His music is bractingly digital and unabashedly grooving. He weaves his way through slippery slipstreams of aqueous synthesis and tripping sonics. Lock in. Gabrielle Kwarteng is a natural at timeless, soulful house. Although originally rooted in NY, Kwarteng’s profile has exploded and she has rightly earned global recognition. Kwarteng’s NTS residency is a perfect showcase for her low-slung, deeply cool selections. Few flow quite like she does. Ian Crane completes the lineup with some serious fun. A euphoric DJ par excellence, Crane has more than distinguished himself in 2025 with a series of outstanding sets at STUDIO. ■ No photos or videos ■ Ticket purchase does not guarantee entrance ■ No phone use on the dancefloor ■ The dance floor is for dancing, not conversation ■ No glowing/flashing clothes or items ■ Respect other people's space, no shuffling ■ Consent is mandatory ■ Zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any form of discrimination ■ Take care of each other, alert our staff if somebody isn't feeling well ■ Violating the house rules will result in removal PLEASE REVIEW HOUSE POLICIES AT LINK BELOW
