The Bridge is an ALL TECHNO, ALL VINYL event series.
Its purpose is to preserve the art of mixing real records, maintaining a cultural connection between major cities the world over.
The artists for this edition are:
Anika Kunst (WSNWG, RSPX, Symbolism | Barcelona)
And on this techno beat I will build my temple. This declaration of creative awareness must have gone through the mind of the spanish DJ Anika Kunst on more than one occasion since she started out as a DJ in 2001. Whenever she deejays in Barcelona or Ibiza (the two places she lays her hat when she isn’t touring), you can tell that her techno, equally influenced by German and American sounds, is the cornerstone of her sets. Well, you can tell if you are one of those weird people on the dance floor who has time to pay attention to what is playing and isn’t dancing. Because the charismatic creator of Chapter Records won’t let you look at her whilst she is looking at you: she deejays with her eyes on the dance floor. She reads the audience, manipulates the mood and reads the night. She rules.
Marivs (Resource, Blast | Toronto)
Transylvanian-born Marivs stands as a pillar of Toronto's underground techno scene. A purist and seasoned selector, he founded Kaleidoscope, a vinyl-only event series that champions authentic underground techno. His journey began in the early 90s, spinning various electronic formats at Romanian radio stations before securing club residencies that honed his crowd-reading abilities. Since relocating to Toronto in 2013, his productions have garnered support from techno luminaries such as Nicole Moudaber and Freddy K, with releases on respected labels including Resource Records and Blast. Behind the decks, Marivs delivers dark, driving sets that remain delicately balanced, each telling its own unique story.
Aux_ID (Consumer Recreation Services | Rome/Toronto)
AUX_ID is an Italian DJ who began his journey in 2006 when he started frequenting the famous vinyl store in Rome: Remix. It was here that he learned the art of mixing, under the mentorship of renowned figures Freddy K and Paolo Zerla. In 2010, he joined CRS Records, founded by VSK and Conrad Van Orton, focusing on DJing while also exploring production. AUX_ID became involved in Rome's event scene, working with organizations such as Glucose, Paradigma and 21 Vibes to host techno nights alongside both local and international artists. In 2021, after moving to Toronto, AUX_ID returned to the underground scene, reinvigorated and ready to contribute once again to the global techno community
