LIFT is an event series at the Reforesters Laboratory exploring the ambient fringes of the hardcore continuum in 24.2-channel spatial audio. For this third edition we welcome amita, an organizer of one of NYC's most beloved parties devoted to jungle, footwork, and beyond. amita is a co-curator of rally and a resident on Hong Kong Community Radio. A crate-digger with a focus on storytelling, their sets move through global footwork, jungle, and 160 scenes. Based between New York City and Tokyo, amita has played at Public Records, Mood Ring, Bossa Nova Civic Club, Trans-Pecos, and Market Hotel, with mixes featured on The Lot Radio, XOXA Blend, and Off Set Mix. With alyana vera, they co-curate rally as an open space for music lovers to be sonically challenged while enjoying the familiar: "music for gathering, not escape." Callosum is a Brooklyn-based DJ who blends his own euphoric productions with a diverse range of club music spanning jungle, dancehall, and experimental bass music. With releases on 48k and Nostro Hood System, his sets weave ambient textures and broken drums into high-energy soundscapes that have earned him spots on Rinse FM, NTS Radio, and The Lot Radio.
