Mário Valente, booker and resident DJ at Lounge since 1999 (RIP!), is a tireless figure of the city's nightlife. A versatile DJ, with sets ranging across italo, house, hi-NRG, dub, breaks, punk, and psychedelia, he's a relentless collector of horror and sci-fi film soundtracks. Mário Valente holds regular slots at clubs in Lisbon, alongside a weekly radio show running since 2014, SALÓN FUZZ, on Rádio Futura (previously on Vodafone FM). He is also co-host/DJ of the queer italo-disco party A Night Out With The Hard Ones, one of the founders of the hi-fi party Vem!, and in recent years has also been producing, with a few remixes for national and international artists under his belt. Over the past decade, the Lisbon-based DJ has also split his time with London, playing clubs such as Spiritland, Brilliant Corners, Dalston Superstore, and Stone Nest, and appearing as a guest at parties like Beauty & the Beat, Meat, Happy Endings, and Pumping Velvet.
