Universal Housing

Universal Housing is a project born at Radio Quântica, where residents Big Ladam, David J. Amado, The Auragrio, Violet and Wugori discovered their shared reverence for the healing, joyful powers of house music: its bouncy basslines, pianos that sing, drums that shuffle and divas who teach. After the first DJ set at the housing rights protest Casa para Viver, Quântica knew it wanted to keep going: sharing a wide palette of house music while keeping alive the political awareness that housing is a constitutional and human right, and should therefore be universal. A donation box will be at the event to gather funds for local housing associations. We believe dancing in togetherness is an essential right too, which is why Universal Housing is free entrance for all. Come with an open heart and open ears, and with a commitment to respecting your siblings on the dancefloor. Expect a pool to keep cool, a rooftop with a big dance floor and readings on the histories of house music and housing rights in a wholesome environment for all ages and identities. No personality cult. No music industry antics. Just people dancing together, staying informed and resisting a housing crisis that is making Lisbon less universal than ever.
