Vybe: Summer Sessions-Summer's Edge

Summer is almost over. We’re making the most of what’s left. VYBE AL1VE returns to the Washington Monument for Summer’s Edge, another installment of our VYBE Summer Sessions open-air series. On Saturday, September 19 from 4–8 PM, we’re taking over a corner of the Monument grounds for an afternoon that rolls straight into golden hour-built around music, people and one of the best outdoor backdrops in DC. Expect a carefully curated journey through Afro House, Progressive House, Melodic House & Techno, Tech House and everything in between- approachable enough to bring friends who simply love good music, while still giving the house heads something worth showing up for. Summer Sessions was created around a simple idea: Great music doesn’t always need a club. Sometimes all you need is a sound system, an open patch of grass, a few DJs and a community ready to show up. Come dance. Come hang out. Meet other DJs, music lovers and people from across the DC scene. Or throw down a blanket and let the music soundtrack the last hours of the summer sun. As the afternoon gives way to golden hour and sunset, we’re squeezing everything we can out of one of summer’s final weekends. This is Summer’s Edge.
