Franca Franca is appreciated around the globe for her energetic, creative and groove-driven DJ sets. Playing on the fringes of techno and house, she is as tight on the controls as she is playful in her storytelling. Her unique ability to feel the audience, space and time, carefully capturing and guiding the energy of the dance floor with focus and dedication, is one of her true trade-marks. Her international education in her hometown Munich, the years a rhythm guitarist in band, as well 10 years of “strictly vinyl“ have influenced her sound just as much as her dancefloor education in her 12 years of living in Cologne and the diversity of input in her new home Amsterdam. She's continuing developing as a DJ but as a producer, where she delivers releases with similar strength and diversity. Franca has a deep connection with the Kater universe and in 2018 she officially became part of the resident family. Here she played dreamy downbeat disco with her long-formed collection of special and often rare music. Soon though, the ‘four-on-the-floor’ sound the bar was known for seduced her, and with this new romance on her shoulder and a myriad of number one fans urging her on, the name Mimi Love took off into ouer-space. Today she journeys Europe, America, and The Pacific, despite her feet being solidly planted in the ripe Berlin soil. From her residency at Katerblau, her deep association with the Bachstelzen Collective and her tear-inducing sets at the utopic Garbicz and Fusion Festi- vals among others, Mimi Love is never far away from playing her special kind of Love Sound to the cutest people around.
