Simón Díaz Con Hugo Blanco Y Su Conjunto – La Gaita De Las Cuñas (2 versions) from 1972 A Series curated by DJ Le Spam with DJ sets by: Le Spam & Safe Stadick Analog Master Sessions is a deep listening series curated by Dj Le Spam, presenting some of the most unique studio recordings on professional studio format analog tape machines. 1/4" and 1/2" inch tape running at 15 or 30 inches per second were the most common formats for LP mastering from the 1950s until the early 2000s. They represent the highest quality of analog recording and surpass what is possible to achieve with a vinyl record. This month we will feature master tapes from 2 LPs of the same name released by Hugo Blanco and Simón Diaz for the 1971-1972 Christmas season. The first of the 2 albums includes the original version of El Burro De Belen, which was released prior to the 1975 hit children's version and features Simón on lead vocals. The rest of the LP is a typical mix of gaitas and comedy sketches with Simón in character throughout. Presented through the generous support of JN Music Group.
