Saturday April 13th The Tribes presents Redshape ___________________________________ Redshape Within the vast field of electronic music, there are only a few artists that achieve to remain in place over time: Following his path for more than a decade now, Redshape represents one of those anchor points. Receiving inspiration from a deep interest for any kind of music, with a special affinity for the early sounds of Detroit and Chicago, and bearing in mind his passion for sound engineering, his primary goal is to create sustainable content by translating his roots into a contemporary context — a perfect liaison between the past and present. As a result, he has released a plentitude of records including three albums on acclaimed labels, such as Delsin, Running Back and Monkeytown Records. Simultaneously he runs his own imprint Present. Within a club context, he showcases his unique sound aesthetic as part of his highly energetic and ever–changing live performances which are always a result of pure musical improvisation. Following his beginnings as a music lover and record collector, Redshape is also a passionate DJ, known for his versatile music selections, ranging from techno over Burial through to closing Panorama Bar with a Whitney Houston classic. Having since contributed his vision to the electronic music landscape, Redshape is about to continue his legacy, proving to be one of the most interesting artists of our time.
