Amsterdam Techno Sessions is a weekly Techno event, held every Thursday, in Amsterdam. Local and international artists are invited to showcase their work and personal definitions of Techno every week. Orlando Solis, better known as Submerge, is a powerhouse in the electronic music scene. Hailing from Chicago and the son of acclaimed musician Jose Luis Napoleon Solis, he has carved out his own legacy as a DJ, producer, and label head. A true techno connoisseur, Submerge has electrified some of the world's most iconic venues, including Berlin’s legendary Berghain, Spain’s Fabrik, Vienna’s Camera Club, and massive festivals like Nature One and Defqon.1. As the force behind the esteemed label Impact Mechanics, his cutting-edge productions have also found a home on Luke Slater’s renowned imprint, Mote-Evolver. After a breakout European tour in 2010, demand for his performances has skyrocketed year after year. His deep technical expertise earned him an endorsement from industry giant Allen & Heath, while his background in IT led to work at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Beyond his DJ sets, Orlando also performs live under his alias Impact Mechanics. His music is championed by some of the biggest names in the industry. With an unstoppable presence and an ever-expanding influence, Submerge continues to push the boundaries of techno worldwide.
