Samedi 23 Mai, Nonsense présente : D-lee and the soul revival band D Lee – Soul Singer, Songwriter & Producer, D Lee is a Texas-born soul singer, songwriter, and producer whose journey began at just four years old, singing in church.Influenced by legends like Sam Cooke, Otis. Redding, Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, and Al Green, D Lee has cultivated a modern-retro soul sound defined by honest storytelling and heartfelt messages of love and humanity. Dedicated and passionate, D Lee established himself in the Los Angeles music scene, co-founding the band Monk, which was signed to Capitol Records. He went on to collaborate with some of L.A.’s finest, including Macy Gray, Kim Hill, and Medusa, as well as soul icons Leon Ware and James Gadson. D Lee has also has written and recorded with Will Hart of The Delfonics and Motown’s legendary guitarist Wah Wah Watson. Beyond performance, D Lee has composed music for Feature film and television, including Cassidy Way and The Road to Redemption. Following his acclaimed debut album Soul Revival, he released the ambient soul EP Chill Out Sessions and the conscious empathetic Get It Together EP.
