Far Corners is back at Colour Factory this December for a night of global dance music curated by some of the UK's most impressive DJ heavyweights. This time, we’re welcome two of our favourite DJs - both with outrageous resumes behind their names, both guaranteed to make this Hackney Wick dance floor shake, and both kind enough to offer up a twist on their usual club sounds... making their own mark on the signature Far Corners global sound. We're more than gassed to be welcoming none other than the legend that is Raji Rags to Far Corners. Does this man even need an introduction? One of the most pivotal tastemakers of London, and a long-term NTS'er - Raji's sets don't see him restricted by styles or genres, and often include him executing technically masterful mixing across 3 or 4 decks. His radio shows have garnered huge acclaim, and his legendary B2B mix shows have included likes of Barker (Ostgut Ton), Tim Reaper, Neffa-T, Tash LC, Sonia Calico, Jackmaster, Forest Drive West, Elijah, Charlie Bones and more. He even DJ'ed at Beyonce's party in Paris. He was Head of Music at Boiler Room and A&R’d for the likes of Warp Records, R&S Records, Bleep, OTIH records and currently A&Ring for Actress and Batu - Raj is often the go-to person to help shape future trends in electronic music. Too many things to mention to be honest... our advice is just don't miss his set!! Heading up the bill on this party is another major UK dance music legend - Ruby Savage. A favourite to many, Since relocating from her hometown Amsterdam to London in 2007, Ruby Savage spent the next 15 years working in music. Starting behind the counter at Honest Jon’s Record store, she deepened her musical knowledge and record collection with an extended love for soul, jazz, disco, dub and dance music. From there she went on to work for Theo Parrish’s Sounds Signature label and Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings. Both serving as a stepping stone into DJing. Ruby joined Worldwide FM’s early roster of radio hosts followed by a monthly residency on London’s NTS radio. Ruby is also a regular guest on Tokyo’s J-Wave 81.3FM connecting a Japanese audience with her take on the versatile sound of London. As a DJ she’s performed at London’s most well respected clubs including KOKO Electronic, Corsica Studios, Fabric, Phonox, Pickle Factory, Giant Steps, Outernet and Village Underground. She’s programmed and hosted a residency at NT Loft and most recently expanded into Deep Listening Sessions. The intuitive and uplifting energy Ruby brings to music lovers has taken her on club and festival tours around the world, making frequent returns to Brazil, Oceania and across Europe. Get down for what promises to be a masterclass in typical Ruby Savage fashion - again, not one to miss! Fresh from his appearances at Glastonbury, We Out Here and Phonox, Far Corners chef Kamar is back at the wheel for this November edition. He’ll be bringing a special bag of global goods, inspired by his discoveries from his Worldwide FM show, Tealeaves, which explores sound through migration, as well as his explorations across Asian Electro, South Asian Deep House, Brazilian Broken Beat and Arabic Boogie. Far Corners chef Daniele Mizar, known for his Isola Paradiso show on Soho Radio, where he champions the music of his homeland, Sicily, and wider Italy, will also be on warm-up duties for this one. Expect his usual cross-cultural sets which are known for their percussive breakdowns, layered vocals and scintillating highs. See you in the dance. Far Corners.
