Fresca Amplifies

FRESCA amplifies. On 18th January, we return to Arroz Estúdios with a cosmic lineup packed with aptitude. Visual artist Rita Grancho, in collaboration with our photographer and videographer Mafalda Pombo, is crafting a one-of-a-kind scenography to match the sonic artistry of the night. Momento 1, co-authored performance by Ana Reis and Teresa Moreira, will be debuting in Fresca, a sequence of artistic expression. This creation takes as its starting point the exploration of the influence that Goa Gil's trance can have on movement. The live set from which we started suggests imaginary things that we are interested in trying to translate through the body, questioning the limits of reality and consciousness. Momento 1 is the first research phase of this performance. On the decks: Pletnev: The internationally acclaimed DJ and producer from Vilnius has become a key figure in the electronic music scene. With a prolific catalog of releases on top labels like R.A.N.D. Muzik and Echocentric, his tracks are regularly featured in the sets of leading DJs. Known for blending timeless grooves with cutting-edge innovation, Pletnev has performed at iconic venues such as Roxy Club (Paris), Razzmatazz (Barcelona), and Renate (Berlin). Expect a sound journey that defies expectations and leaves a lasting impression. Soberdrunkid: A genre-defying DJ whose sets reflect the duality of his stage name. Drawing from his roots as a bass player, he builds his sound on low, raw notes and raspy synths, creating progressions that are both introspective and explosive. From experimental beats to acid, house, and breaks, Soberdrunkid bridges introspection and rave energy, captivating dance floors with his unique approach. Mayan is the resident DJ and the creative architect of FRESCA’s identity, shaping its exploration of psychedelic soundscapes through a diverse range of styles. Her sets navigate seamlessly between cosmic house and deep, progressive, trance-inspired rhythms, offering a refined interpretation of the psychedelic ethos. As a foundational figure in the collective, Mayan’s artistic direction defines FRESCA’s commitment to fostering innovative and immersive musical experiences. AV Space residents, Simone Martinotta & Leonardo Meraviglia, present Shifting Selves—an exploration of the human identity within our increasingly digital world.
