Sonically, the label’s release catalog is nested between two concentric circles: ambient and dub electronics. An outfit of trusted selectors draw a third, techno-forward circle for a rare takeover of Loso’s main room. Label-head 8004 brings deep textures to a moving floor alongside Hpin. Restraint and severity coalesce. NYC-based Chicago expatriate, Eden Aurelius, makes her Richmond debut channeling hazy atmospherics from behind the decks.
