Lifestyling comes to Okah Rooftop for the first time and we plan to make it big. Overseeing the Tejo river and with plenty of space to dance open air we welcome all lifestylers to a night that will make you ears melt in pleasure with a very special guest, Aubrey - no introduction needed. Additionally, we will have a loved guest coming play with us for the first time, Grem, from Italy, based in London, who will join forces with DJ Mafia (aka UmRui from Coletivo Lenha). Straka and Za Prat - our Residents - wrap up this beautiful roster. 16th October | 21:00 - 05:00 AUBREY He started recording in 1990 for Sheffield label Ozone Recordings under the name of Panic with a release called Voices Of Energy, which was then licensed to Buzz in Belgium, Buzz 001. Buzz then went on to release classics by Carl Craig and Derrick May. Aubrey set up his own label in the same year - Solid Groove Records. The label had 30 vinyl releases over thirteen years and tracks were licensed by Derrick May, Terry Francis, Pete Tong, Adam X, and Carl Cox. As well as this he ran four other labels - Textures, Dark, DOT, and Cheap Knob Gags. At the age of twelve he became an avid bedroom DJ which taught him the skills that have taken him through a successful and professional career spanning twenty-two years. From his first residency at the Portsmouth club Central Park at eighteen, he soon found himself in London spinning next to Carl Cox, Groove Rider, Colin Dale, Mr. C etc, at such raves as Energy, Raindance, and clubs such as The Astoria, The Gardening Club, The Pirate Club, The Marquee, Turnmills, Deep Space, Ministry Of Sound, Mr. C’s Release partyies and residencies for Fantasy FM and the famous south coast club Sterns. His music tastes are very varied with his first love of Hip Hop as a teenager, moving quickly onto the emerging Acid House scene from Chicago and then to Detroit Techno and New York House. Due to working in record shops he has a big knowledge of all three genres. GREM Gregorio Montefameglio, also known as Grem, is a London-based dj and promoter. His musical path started in 2014 with the founding of the Planctoon crew, a group of friends and party starters tied together by the passion for music. Originally from Bologna, a city strongly infused with deep house, Gregorio crafted his own taste by sharing the decks with his local scene, and further developed it by travelling and playing across Europe. Besides Bologna, he can often be found between London and Copenhagen, two cities that profoundly shaped his sound thanks to their elegant, and deep touch that reinterprets the 90's emotional atmospheres in a modern key. Firmly set in the British capital, he shares music with other artists, patiently crafts his own productions at the Secretsundaze studios, and plays at gigs. For 2021 and 2022 Gregorio firmly focuses on further developing his selections and productions, while launching a new events series between Bologna and London. DJ MAFIA (aka UMRUI) From the underworld of crime to the vinyl decks, DJ Mafia aka UmRui is a dj/producer and co-founder of Coletivo Lenha. He will share with us a taste of his vinyl collection of hypnotic and house-like tracks, often with samples or spoken lines.
