His distinctive brand of Cologne and dub inflected minimalism has made him an in-demand DJ on a national and international level, with notable gigs throughout New York City, Detroit, Germany, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic. Upon moving to New York City in 1996, plexus helped shape the sound of intelligent minimal dance music on the East Coast as a veteran of two of NYC's most esteemed record shops, Temple Records and Satellite Records. Plexus combines superb skills with a deeper understanding of the music. His distinctive mix of minimal house and techno has graced opening sets for Teknotika label boss/producer Gary Martin at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival (2001), Jeff Mills at Arc (2003), Air Liquide and Coldcut at the Electro Bunker Cologne event (1999), and Richie Hawtin (2003); opening and closing sets for Swayzak at Arc; sets at the Micromini and penetr8net parties, and a weekly residency at Dark Wave BBQ/Cash Checking with heartthrob.
