Minimal Detroit (founded by techno pioneer Terrence Dixon) is bringing the best of Detroit and NYC underground artists to Jupiter Disco on Feb 21 st . Detroit artists Tylr and Alex Noble join NYC artists K2, Goretek, and bullrog for a night multi-genre goodness (Techno, Breakbeat, Jungle, House). The first of many planned between Detroit and NYC clubs, this night is built on the spirit of creating space and opportunity for underground artists in Detroit and NYC to have an opportunity to play in another thriving music scene to help stimulate collaboration between artists and club-goers. Opening the night is bullrog, a voracious collector of vinyl records, who brings his deep knowledge and passion for music to the decks for an eclectic vinyl set. Next up is Detroit-born Alex Noble, who has been on the scene in NYC playing Hardcore, Hard Techno and Electro Punk at DIY raves and venues like Newtown Radio, Hi-Note, and Starr Bar. Goretek follows with his unique style of Jungle, DnB, and Techno that has lit up dancefloors the like of Bossa Nova Civic Club, Jupiter Disco, and Mood Ring. K2 is the most recent addition to Minimal Detroit, and is the first NYC contributor to the label. A regular at Mansions and resident at Hi-Note Radio with “Le Night Club,” he has released two powerhouse recent mixes and a headlining spot at SPKRBOX in Detroit this past August. Tylr is a mainstay in the underground scene in Detroit, playing at iconic Detroit clubs TV Lounge, Marble Bar, and Spot Lite along with his monthly residency “Drama” at SPKRBOX as well creator of afters parties BAKDØR, The Porn Shop, and Hush over the past decade. Free before 10pm __________ Jupiter Disco is a safe space for all. Our most important goal is to ensure everyone who steps into our space feels welcome and safe.
