ReSolute presents Ricardo Villalobos for a rare NYC appearance. A true legend and pioneer of the scene we know today, Ricardo Villalobos career began in the early 90's and has stayed strong to the present day. Known for his vast catalog of productions and extended remixes, as well as his lengthy DJ sets. Ricardo's mixing style has been an inspiration to an entire generation of DJs and his worldwide reputation has been well earned. With a cult-like world wide following of "Ricardistas" we are sure to have a special day under the bridge this summer.
This day will mark the US debut of a legendary band, Sẽnor Coconut and his Orchestra. Led by Uwe Schmidt and inspired by his move from Germany to Santiago, Chile, the Señor Coconut project revisits classics of the 70s and 80s, reinterpreting them with a Latin flair. The project began as Señor Coconut (Uwe Schmidt on his own). Señor Coconut Y Su Conjunto is also Uwe Schmidt. "Y Su Conjunto" means "And His Band" in Spanish, but in fact, the "band" consists of an Akai MPC3000 and S6000. Later on, Uwe invites guest live musicians playing acoustic instruments and changes the name to Señor Coconut And His Orchestra. The band tours extensively, playing a selection of tracks from the entire Señor Coconut project.
The event will also feature support from our beloved resident duo O.BEE & Tomas Station. The co-founders of the Can You Jigit label & party series have been busy the past couple years with a busy international touring schedule and a string of successful releases on the label.
