It's time to celebrate 1 year of Soul Sessions Lx, on September 6th, Tejá House the new spot in town with a privileged river view, from 4pm to 9pm. Event suitable for people +12. Ateee will command the decks, straight from Harlem to the Tejo Shore. Vanessa Parish Crooks, Mister Mayuka, Krozs and Baltazar take the stage for live renditions of our favorites songs. A year ago an idea popped up on a road trip, while listening to Sade " What if we had an event called Sade Day"? What started as a one-off, became a monthly series of events, that every first Sunday of the month became a service like atmosphere, where Soul Music, in all it's forms could be truly felt and appreciated- a community of like minded individuals whose energy built something morevcame together... we come as we are or add a little sparkle, we are present in communion, we sing together like a choir that has been preparing for the moment their whole life's, we dance and close our eyes allowing the music live in that instance, without any rush. We listened to the most talented local musicians in Lisbon and we allowed their artistry to bring us the joy, we needed in our souls. We celebrated so many of the great, this past year: Sade, Luther Vandross, Aaliyah, D'Angelo, Amy Winehouse, Djavan, Césaria Évora, Marvin Gaye, Erykah Badu, Sara Tavares. Now it's time for a throwback and a Sunday afternoon full of the greatest music! In a different place with the same vibe. You know? The one only we can bring, together!
