SPF 50 & Fernelly are resident DJ’s of long-running underground party Bob & Shirley, where they regularly close with extended b2b’s. Their sets seamlessly weave 90’s/00’s house, deep progressive anthems and cheeky vocal cuts. Their shared love of colorful juxtapositions and surprising each other behind the decks continually push their sets in new directions. SPF 50’s music weaves a kaleidoscopic tapestry of lush atmospherics, precise, beat-heavy momentum and skittish euphoria. With a keen sense for narration, his sets draw on deeper strains of house and techno, often veering into syncopated bass pressure, to sculpt a hypnotic sonic world to immerse oneself in. Both as producer and DJ his choices lead to psychedelic, raw moments on the dancefloor, while never losing sight of the playful and blissed out. Originally from Sweden but now living in Brooklyn, he is a resident of roaming underground party Bob & Shirley and founder of Professional Music. His fifth EP ‘Terrarium Trek’ was released on Amsterdam’s Dzungla in August 2024 and further establishes SPF 50 as an artist with wide-ranging sensibilities and an ear for experimentation in the studio as well as in the club. Fernelly is known for playing eclectic tunes that take you from international rhythms, leftfield Disco & balearic vibes to bass & deep breaks with warm fills of classic house & techno. He'll easily round out the early evenings and the late mornings. Fernelly, originally from Los Angeles, is a DJ/Producer based in Brooklyn, co-founder of Echo Cove Recordings Co., roaming parties Bêvèrãgęš and Bob & Shirley, & resident DJ at Public Records with 2025 releases on the horizon.
