Join us as we welcome back Denature Records boss, Viken Arman for his Sunday Love return in DC. ​​✨ Wellness Session: 3PM | Die Into Ecstasy Meditation with Nicole Heidbreder Die Into Ecstasy is a guided meditation to experience the death of your body and mind. This practice, based in Buddhist tradition is similar to yoga nidra. A sound bath will fill our senses and reconstitute our vision. You will have the opportunity to consciously re-inhabit your body, through somatic awakening and gentle body movements, in full appreciation of the temple that it is. Fusing ancient melodies with electronic beats to create magical vibes that go beyond dance music brings rich cultures together in mystical musical journeys. Growing up with Jazz and classical music, he draws influence from a very versatile music background from Keith Jarett, Erik Satie, Bill Evans, Jay Dilla, Ricardo Villalobos to the Arabic diva Oum Khalthoum. His knowledge of piano as well as his time at the music conservatory contributed to his wide musical culture. As an artist, Viken is really close to this roots & history. When he’s not making music, Viken focuses his energy to support and nurture this particular and rich music scene even further. He founded Denature Records which, as he describes it, is more than just a label but more of a family of artists. He also pledged to support young and upcoming talents from around the world as well as organizing his own events with the SOUQ Festival. His music is engrained with ethnical influences and reveals the passionate explorer that he embodies. Marymoon: Marymoon captures a sophisticated, deep, soulful sound which has recently awarded her appearances at Space Ibiza, Burning Man, Secret Garden Party and Cova Santa. Currently based in St. Petersburg, Russia, the music producer, DJ and visual artist graduated from the esteemed Sotheby’s Institute of Arts in London, then subsequently spent several years chasing an obsession with electronic sounds and digital visual arts performances around the globe. She organised and curated an array of multimedia exhibitions in St. Petersburg, Venice Biennale, New York and London – a pursuit that eventually landed her in a studio full of hardware drum machines and modular synths in Hollywood, where she was able to truly focus her endless creative energy towards defining her signature sound. During this time, her first EP was released on the Human Resources label, the most prominent Russian electronic music label to date.
