Project Switch and Bloom are joining forces to fully activate 420 Edgewood, transforming both the courtyard and loft space for an unforgettable night of underground music. Expect a diverse spectrum of rare, leftfield, and genre-blurring dance music, spanning techno, trance, house, EBM, synth-pop, electroclash, and minimal—each element meticulously stitched together to create an immersive dancefloor experience. Switch will be in charge of the outdoor activation, while Bloom curates the loft space. High-fidelity sound will fill both areas, with modern Danley speakers and a DIY SCRAM Subwoofer energizing the courtyard, and a vintage, hand-tuned and modified Altec A7 Voice of the Theatre system enhancing the loft. This night is designed to showcase the depth of talent in our city, with a carefully curated lineup and programming that builds emotive momentum as the night progresses. Bloom will bring its vinyl-focused, underground dance music ethos, while Switch delivers a more rave-centric, contemporary edge to the underground music spectrum. Taylor Shockley, a Florida-grown DJ/producer with over 14 years of experience, is one of the night’s standout guests. Now based in Philadelphia, Taylor is a resident at Public Records in Brooklyn, the collective Vyōō in Boston, and also curates his own event series, Biome. His sets are deeply inspired by nature, futurism, technology, and the human psyche, aiming to evoke visions of biosynthetic fantasy with a psychedelic twist. Taylor’s presence in the scene is marked by his past work at some of Brooklyn’s most iconic venues like Halcyon, Output, Public Records, and Elsewhere, cementing his deep appreciation for music culture in all its forms.
