Alive — Midsummer Dance & Music Gathering

ALIVE is a one-day music and movement mini-festival taking place in a magical Quinta garden in Funchal. This edition is inspired by Midsummer — a celebration of nature, music, community, and free expression. We invite participants to embrace the atmosphere through an ethnic, or nature-inspired dress code. Throughout the day, music remains at the heart of the experience. The program includes movement and connection activities, live performances, DJ sets, and plenty of space to dance, explore, and enjoy the atmosphere at your own pace. The musical journey is led by Mahdi Hléwi, blending melodic, tribal, and oriental techno with live guitar, percussion, and vocals. Throughout the event, live drummers join the dancefloor, creating a powerful rhythm and festival atmosphere. Snacks and a tea station will be available throughout the day. This is an alcohol-free event. We invite participants to come sober and fully enjoy the music, atmosphere, and connection.
