Phantasmagoria New Years 2022/2023

We welcome you to a primitive future and the second edition of Phantamagoria! This year, the event takes place at an old industrial site in the mystical cloud-forest between Xalapa and Coatépec in the state of Veracruz, Mexico. The venue, Futuro Primitivo, previously a calk factory – is now a multi-functional space with a club, restaurant, several bars and amazing views of the lush forest. The theme for the weekend is Futuro Primitivo so we encourage you to be creative with your unique looks, dress the part and immerser yourself in the experience. To describe the theme, think retro sci-fi, Space Odyssey 2011, Mad Max, Barbarella and Logan’s Run. Let your imagination run free and come play in our factory of the future. The event spans 3 days and starts on Friday December 30th, where we will begin the festivities and invite our guests for a warm-up party with music going till after midnight. During the evening, you are welcome to dine at our restaurant which will have an a la carte menu with craft cocktails and natural wine served at the bar all night. On New Year’s Eve, Saturday December 31st, the night will start with an early dinner for a limited set of guests consisting of a 4-course meal with a pairing of natural wine. After dinner, we open the doors and start the main event. We will go all night long till sunrise with uplifting music specially curated by Rebolledo, in a space transformed to welcome us into the future by artists and unique performances. On Sunday January 1st, we will complete the weekend and start the year on a high note and continue the party from the previous nights. The restaurant will also be open with an a la carte menu and music will be going till around midnight. The area: Futuro Primitivo is nestled between Coatépec and Xalapa, about 4 hours west of Mexico City. Xalapa is known for its scenic backdrop and lush tropical vegetation and is often called the Flower Garden of Mexico. It’s the capital of Veracruz and surrounded by volcanos and cloud forests. For accommodation we recommend the magic town of Coatépec or the surrounding jungle close to the venue. The name Coatépec translates into the Hill of the Snakes and has several rivers running through the area. The location is accessible by car, bus or air if you fly to the Veracruz International airport (General Heriberto Jara International Airport).
