River Riders is a 4-day outdoor gathering rooted in music, movement, and the rhythm of the natural world.
Born on the banks of the river Alva in Arganil, central Portugal, River Riders began as a simple idea: bring together a carefully curated selection of underground electronic artists and place them in one of Portugal's most quietly beautiful landscapes — where the forest meets the water and the music plays from noon until the early hours.
VOL. 1 proved the concept. VOL. 2 goes further.
The sound spans hypnotic techno, psychedelic trance, tribal house, psy bass and organic electronics — dark when it needs to be, transcendent when it earns it. The programme extends beyond music: daily yoga, somatic movement workshops, river ceremonies, and morning integration circles give the gathering a depth that a stage alone cannot provide.
This is not a mass festival. Capacity is intentionally limited. The crowd is international, drawn together by a shared appetite for music that means something and a setting that demands presence.
