Rookies FM

Rookies FM is an international radio station connecting emerging DJs from around the world, from Paris to Australia. Our mission is simple : to highlight up-and-coming DJs and give them the freedom to express themselves.

Background
Rookies was originally founded by DJ 2Z in Paris, focusing on organizing DJ events in the city. The first event was a true success, attracting over 120 attendees. A second event soon followed, featuring a live performance from another artist.
After moving to Australia, the project was put on hold. Following discussions with Rama, a Parisian DJ, Rookies took on a new direction, becoming an international radio station and so Rookies FM was created. Every two weeks, we invited a DJ for a radio session, interviewed them, and uploaded their mix to SoundCloud, bouncing between Paris, Adelaide, and Melbourne. During the first season, we hosted 8 DJs.
